Osteopaths & Massage Therapists | Jason

What is Osteopathy

Osteopathy focuses on diagnosing, treating and preventing a wide range of conditions by looking at the body as a whole and how its structure and function are interlinked.

Osteopaths are manual therapy specialists. They assess how your body moves and functions, identifying areas of restriction or imbalance, and create individualised treatment plans designed to relieve pain, restore movement, and improve overall function.

Treatment is centred on hands-on techniques such as joint mobilisation, soft tissue release, and gentle manipulations. Osteopathy can support recovery after injury, postural strain, or illness, and it can also help improve general wellbeing and prevent future problems. By restoring balance and mobility across the body, osteopaths help you return to daily activities with greater ease and less discomfort.

A key part of osteopathy is prevention. As well as treating current issues, osteopaths provide guidance on posture, movement habits, and lifestyle factors that reduce strain and support long-term health.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We're here to help!

Osteopathy can help with a wide range of problems affecting the muscles, joints, and spine. This includes back and neck pain, postural strain, arthritis, sports injuries, and tension-related headaches. It can also support recovery after injury or illness and improve overall mobility and function by addressing the body as a whole.

Osteopathy should not be painful, though some people may feel mild soreness or stiffness after treatment as the body adjusts. This is usually short-lived and settles quickly. Your osteopath will always adapt techniques to your comfort levels and explain what to expect during treatment.

The number of sessions depends on your condition, how long you’ve had it, and your goals. Some people feel benefits after one or two treatments, while others may need a series of sessions to achieve lasting improvement. Your osteopath will outline a tailored treatment plan for you after your initial assessment.
