Pain and tenderness on the outer elbow, often worsening with gripping, lifting, or twisting motions. People may notice weakness in the forearm and difficulty performing everyday tasks like turning a doorknob or holding a cup.

Pain and tenderness on the inner elbow that may radiate down the forearm. Symptoms often worsen with wrist flexion or gripping activities, and the elbow may feel stiff, making it difficult to lift or carry objects.

Swelling, redness, and tenderness at the tip of the elbow. The area may feel warm, and bending the elbow can be uncomfortable. Severe cases may also limit arm movement or cause infection-related symptoms like fever.

Numbness, tingling, or a “pins and needles” sensation in the ring and little fingers. Weakness in hand grip, difficulty pinching, or pain on the inner side of the elbow (especially when bending it for long periods) are common.

Pain, swelling, and bruising around the elbow, often accompanied by limited range of motion. Activities that twist or put pressure on the elbow can worsen symptoms, and the joint may feel unstable if ligaments are involved.

Persistent elbow pain, stiffness, swelling, and reduced mobility. Symptoms may worsen with activity and improve with rest. In advanced cases, the joint may feel warm or appear deformed, making everyday tasks like lifting, writing, or bending the arm difficult.

Step 3
FREQUENTLY ASKED ELBOW PAIN QUESTIONS

We're here to help!

Elbow pain can result from overuse, repetitive movements, injuries, inflammation, or conditions like tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, bursitis, nerve compression, sprains, or arthritis.

Tennis elbow causes pain on the outer side of the elbow, often worsening with gripping or lifting, while golfer’s elbow affects the inner side and may worsen with wrist flexion or swinging movements.

Cubital tunnel syndrome often causes numbness, tingling, or a pins-and-needles sensation in the ring and little fingers, along with weakness in hand grip and pain on the inner elbow, especially when bending the arm.

Mild cases of elbow bursitis may improve with rest, avoiding pressure on the elbow, and simple home care, but persistent swelling, redness, or pain may require medical evaluation.

Our team provides detailed assessments and hands-on osteopathy, physiotherapy, and massage therapy to relieve pain, improve movement, and strengthen the elbow. Where needed, we also use advanced, targeted therapies such as focused shockwave to speed recovery.
