FREQUENTLY ASKED KNEE PAIN QUESTIONS

We're here to help!

Knee pain can result from overuse, injuries, cartilage or ligament damage, inflammation, or conditions like arthritis, bursitis, or patellofemoral pain syndrome.

Ligament injuries often cause sudden pain, swelling, and instability, while meniscus tears may lead to pain, swelling, locking, or a catching sensation in the knee.

Osteoarthritis is the gradual wear of knee cartilage causing pain and stiffness, often worsening with activity. Patellofemoral pain syndrome causes pain around or behind the kneecap, typically triggered by running, climbing stairs, or sitting for long periods.

Yes, mild cases often improve with rest, ice, activity modification, and physical therapy, though persistent or severe symptoms may require medical treatment. Targeted osteopathy, physiotherapy, and massage can reduce pain, improve mobility, and help prevent recurrence.

Our team of osteopaths, physiotherapists, and massage therapists can assess your knee, provide a tailored treatment plan, relieve pain, restore function, and support a safe return to daily activities or sports. Where needed, we also use advanced, targeted therapies such as focused shockwave to speed recovery.
